We took this fire in from Engine 88 on Belmont St. When we arrived on Elliot Place (between Walton and the Grand Concourse)the fire was knocked down. The fire began in the basement and advanced into 3 rooms. Heavy fire was venting up to the 1st floor windows but the fire was knocked down before it had a chance to extend into the 1st floor.
