As I've done past couple of years now, I've used Signal73's map to produce stats on first due all hands. Thank you Signal73 for your continued and consistent effort it making the "job maps". Also 8060 Rock assisted greatly with Bronx stats, as he keeps very thorough stats about Bronx companies.

Disclaimer: These are not official numbers, they come purely from users contributions to this website, which I think we all agree for the most part are accurate - jobs are rarely ever missed and run downs are done to the best of our ability and knowledge. If anyone see's any clear mistakes feel free to reach out to me, in years past members have been helpful.

almost that time again. Any ideas as to who would be in the top for first-due work? Probably the same as last year as a good guessing start

Looking like a sure bet. Odd are in their favorite
Don't think those 2 will make top 10 this year but definitely up there. According to my #'s, 158 and 138 saw more first due work. I can definitely agree with what Magic said about 289/138. They will probably be #1.

Speaking of first due, consider this:

From "History of Chicago Fire Houses" by Ken Little and John McNalis

Response of Engine Company 20, 1320 W. Concord Place (noted to have a small still district in an industrial area)

July 9, 1944 @ 1845 hrs. Still, then Box 465 plus 5-11 plus 3 Specials 1737 N. Bosworth Ave in a furniture factory

Sept. 3, 1944 @ 0440 hrs. Box 395, then 5-11, 1600 N. Elston Ave. in a coal yard

Sept. 4, 1944 @ 0408 hrs. Still, then Box 395 plus 5-11, 1656 N. Besley Ct. in a factory

Dec, 21, 1944 @ 0309 hrs. Still, then Box 394 plus 5-11 plus 2 Specials, 1642 N. Besley Ct. in a factory

April 11, 1945 @ 1249 hrs. Box 464 plus 5-11, 1800 N. Ashland Ave. in a lumbar yard

During the War...sabotage?
