Brush Fire near exit 11. Think is Knapp St

The first location was believed to be near Plumb Beach so the assignment was 8627.
309 159 redirected from fumes run
246 169 BC33 assigned.
When determined it was east of the Gerritsen Inlet along the belt behind the Flatbush Ave driving range, we added 329 to go to Flatbush Ave.
321 was assigned with BFU6
And after the 10-70 and knowing no hydrants on highway we assigned 284 and ST03 but they were turned around.
MR09 and MB01 were turned around as well.

Question: Are the brush fire units staffed and paroling this time of year, or did E329 split the crew and responded with the engine & brush fire unit?

the BFU’s in Staten Island get independently staffed and do patrols during brush fire seasons.
the one’s in Bk, Q and X don’t and are are cross staffed and brought as a 2 piece unit.
E329 does the same with the ATRV. Not sure if they took it yesterday tho. Normally only for the breezy point boxes.

they might have saw the ticket and decided to take it because the ARTV does better offroad

329s ATRV was oos and they didn’t take it. They were assigned because the fire location was unknown and thought to be on Flatbush avenue.
