I know that arrival order is respected within the FDNY… or at least that’s what it appears to be from reading this board. Does anyone know when E264 & E328 are sent to the same box if the first due engine, by the runcards, leaves first? I only ask because sometimes one crew may be ready to go before the other crew.

The company that is assigned first, should leave before the other. If for some reason they will be delayed, the officer of the first due company, should tell the second assigned company to go ahead of them. These two companies are in the same quarters, they eat at the same kitchen table, so one should not try to race the other out just to steal the fire away from each other. This would make some bad times for all involved.
