Yes Joe worked in 132 for awhile before going to Queens,Joe did some great things in 132 but the then Capt (Kuhnle) really didn't believe in writing guys up unless it was spectacular.Joe transferred to Queens and while there he received two Medals.  R.I.P. Joe

The letters for the Brooklyn Tin House (E232-L176) were appropriated from the Old Unity Hospital on St.Johns Place. The only letter that had to be cut was the (E).

I believe that Malbone St. was the original name of Empire Blvd,    and the train tracks are right behind the Old Brooklyn C.O.

Searchlight 22 was in Bklyn quartered in Eng 256.I don't remember when it left 256 as 256 was disbanded in the early 70's

Tom you are on the money.My aunt lived in Parkchester in the 50's and I used to walk to L47 (separate house from 64).I counted the Boxes on the running board which was in the Housewatch area and they had 654 first alarm boxes.I don't remember how may boxes L47 ran in with L31 but they did have some.

In reply #426 Manhattan stated that the last Box# in Manhattan was 18something that is in the parameters of up to 2000. I'm quite sure Chief JK knows that I'm correct in the way I explained it.

The older guys on this site know that Manhattan and The Bronx boxes both the the prefix of 6-6  and that Brooklyn and Queens had the prefix of 7-7. The reason why is that all Manhattan boxes ended before Box 2000 and the Bronx boxes started at 2100. The Brooklyn and Queens prefix worked because...

The Ahrens Fox marked 222 was originally 214s rig when they were on Herkimer St. but when 214 moved in with L111 on Halsey St.  the fox could not fit in the narrow FH with the Truck in there so  222 & 214 swapped rigs.
