Our 2nd anniversary of losing FDNY Lt Russo assigned to station 49 in Astoria. She was murdered 2 years ago and is still sorely missed. Had a wreath laying in Her honor. Continued condolences to Her Family.
I suspect it's the 2 Huges Schools both take up the length of 109st both the South and North sides. It was a Great block for stick ball. Super wide street.
This I remember My Dad responded on the 2nd Eng 91. We lived in East Harlem looking North I could see it. Grabbed my bike and went over the Willis Ave bridge following the smoke. The heat was intense from 2 blocks away. Never forget it.

This building was built in 1920. A little old right? In NY it's considered old law. Access was difficult. Would this building have a cockloft? Are they equipped with a nozzle like the FDNY and other departments? Trench Cut considered? I know lots of questions.
