A tip o da helmet to the ARFF crews who did a stellar job making sure they held fire at bay until all passengers got off the aircraft and then they performed a primary search. Looks like excellent ARFF rig setup positions as well.
It happens. Happened 2 days ago to 27’s tip at 3160. Another one of about a dozen reasons FDNY doesn’t adorn and clutter up the aerial ladder tips with remote controls, spotlights, floodlights, beacons etc like many other departments do.
