*12/18/12* Marine 6A Mutual Aid to LI

Last night just before 12am, Marine 6A and the Marine Battalion were requested to responded mutual aid to the Great Neck Alert Fire Company (LI) for a house fire on the water in Saddle Rock.  Unsure if they operated, but I know they were called to assist.

Marine 6A DID operate.  From another forum:

"Here are a few photos from the scene. The first two are from when TL8744 arrived; the fire was already through the roof of the enormous house, which was unfinished for the most part on the interior. The last two are from when everyone was pulled out and it went to exterior operations. Units made a good push and were knocking it down, but the strong wind coming off the water created a problem. FDNY Marine 6A (little boat) was on scene and tried to knock down the fire from the water."
