Deja-Vu all over again ::) I stated before on another thread that this box had the most multiples and here's another one.

Great Kills Park info:

580 Acres - much is bird sanctuary area
Part of Gateway National Recreation Area (1973)
NYC bought land for park in 1929
Park Opened in 1949
Great Kills Harbor and boat marinas southern end
Beach/swimming area west side of park
Many private homes north exposure
Hylan Blvd/private homes east
Main entry road from Hylan Blvd - Buffalo St
Great Kills was home to Lady GaGa and Ricky Schroder

Always had a lot of brush fires in park because of large volume of brush, strong winds and volume of users.  There were several different pull boxes in the park.  Always had a lot of brush activity in spring and fall, sometimes summer. Brush (cattails) grows back real fast.  Large brush fires did not make news in the 60s and 70s. I think Gateway had its own supression brush truck for a period of time.  They also found some contamination a few years back.

Wow! :o  T101 relocating to L84 is some long run for a tiller to make and is the furthest south on the island a tiller has been in quite a while. ???

So that is a 4, 3, and 2 so far this year. Still have a lot of time left in brush season. I really wish I would have been able to go to SI earlier today. Would have loved to catch 101 right over the Outerbridge. 11 of 18 SI Engines, and 6 of 12 SI Ladders on this.

I was at this one, the one on monday, and at least 2 others at GK this year. This month alone i've seen more fires then in a long time. Gotta be what, at least four 2 alarms or greater?
