4 fdny haz mat pieces

that i didnt know existed but i dont know if they are still around if you look at fdny trucks.com you will find them under hazmat ops pics# 21,22,23,24


1.a 1986 peterbuilt the flatbed whats in all those luggage looking things

2. a 1969 kaiser 6x6/1975 that has ed's on the front bumper

3.the 1987 mack mc/Fruehauf that had the cab replaced with the cab from the decon unit from ladder 15

4. the 1982 ford l8000/1987 fruehauf/1987 shops


im mostly intrested in the function of the first 2 how were they used and as i asked already whats in those contaniers on the peterbuilt they are just odd looking things for the fdny. plus have they ever responded to anything?

Looks like part of the FEMA USAR Cache.  I don't think it's HAZMAT stuff.
You can see what looks like TF-1 on them.

2. a 1969 kaiser 6x6/1975 that has ed's on the front bumper
Think it's gone now.. Haven't seen it at the ROCK in a long time..

3.the 1987 mack mc/Fruehauf that had the cab replaced with the cab from the decon unit from ladder 15
It's shower truck.  This one might still be in service.  However we have several new decon units to replace these older trucks.

4. the 1982 ford l8000/1987 fruehauf/1987 shops
Another Shower truck almost 100% that it's also been removed from service.
