Working kitchen fire extended into cabinets

Location: 45 Pleasantview Ave.
Frequency: Bridgeport Fireground - Channel # 2(153.700)
Weather Conditions: Cool and Clear
Description Of Incident: Engine 12 o/s reporting smoke showing and requesting Box filled out. Battalion 2 o/s reporting smoke showing from the "A" side of a 2.5-story 30x25 wood-frame P/D. Fire in the kitchen on the 1st floor. 1 L/S/O w/quick k/d. Ladder Companies opening up. Originally reported as a kitchen fire. All searches negative w/no injuries reported.

11:00hrs. - Engine 12 o/s requesting Box be filled out for smoke showing.

11:03hrs. - Command reporting bulk of fire is k/d.

11:10hrs. - Battalion 2 reporting fire is u/c. Recall of Alarm.
 
Long run for L 6 as 2nd due truck.  Would think L 5 might be closer, but maybe they were not available.

Yeah, I thought that was one heck of a run for 6's, but that's who I heard went. Don't forget they're coming up from Central Ave. way, way down in the East End. TL5 is a heck of a lot closer, but who knows. I would even think they would be 1st due over Ladder 10. They might have already been on a run. I think 6's went up that way on an attic job the day before in that neck of the woods, although it was a little closer.
