Chicago - Commissioner Quinn's Snorkels



This was originally built for Chicago but it was refused because of the weight and tandem rear axle. Bedford Park, just S of Chicago and adjacent to Midway Airport acquired it. Smeal was going to re-hab it several years ago but it was too badly rusted out.
 
Ironically the Sherwin Williams factory described in the E-115 pix was abandoned and destroyed in a 5-11 and a Haz-Mat alarm in the late 80's.
