So I had the priveladge of riding with R2 under their previous captian.
Many a day and night shift was spent with no
Runs or local occupied elevators but we also ran to many fires, a lot we got returned on but some I got to see ?the magic? that was R2!
A lot of engine companies hated ?Da Rescue? turning up they took over handlines and were a very dynamic in your face group of guys who loved fire and wete the big brothers of all the other Brooklyn companies.
The guys i sat with and ate with and had the living shit ripped out of me lived up
to the old traditions of R2, I am going back to 2012 was the last shift I spent there.
So are the guys continuing that reputation of R2? They still as ballsy as the group I ride with??
I loved that old firehouse.. it was creeky yes.. fuck me was it tight..but the History.. I stood behind the Rescue, an E-One then, in the tool station and shed a tear in 2008!!
When is the old station set to be replaced?? What is the character of Rescue 2 now???
