The National EMS Memorial Service is in honor of those emergency medical service personnel who have died in the line of duty, and to recognize the ultimate sacrifice they made in the service to others. The Moving Memorial is a specially decorated ambulance which houses the Tree of Life Memorial. The Moving Memorial Honors procession made its way across multiple states from Dallas, Texas to Arlington Virginia. It was officially unveiled at the start of the Weekend of Honor. FDNY Chief of EMS Operations Lillian Bonsignore, FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief of the EMS Academy Joseph Pataky as well as members from EMS Operations were on hand to honor our fallen members. Assistant Commissioner of the FDNY Family Assistance Unit Evelyn Tesoriero and her staff also turned out to support our family members. Riders from the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride arrived to support the National EMS Weekend of Honor. Their mission is to honor EMS personnel by organizing and implementing long distance cycling events that memorialize and celebrate the lives of members that served and have become sick or who have in the line of duty.
