Im sorry im posting this on nycfire.net.My cousin Stella succumbed to breast cancer on Tuesday,She was only 36 years old. She was a great human begin, with an amazing bright smile. She became my cousin through marriage, her husband had a heart of gold, He would put food in your mouth if you didnt have any, and will pay your rent if in need. We are supporting making strides for breast cancer walk on 10/16/2012. Im not on here asking for anyone to donate to the cause, but maybe spread the word, make more and more people aware. We dont need more of these stories.

Anesti, I am really very sorry to hear of the death of your cousin Stella. She was taken away at such a young age. Certainly my condolences goes out to you, and her husband.
There have been many advances in the treatment of cancer. My wife has been a victim of lung cancer for almost two years now. She seems to be doing okay, but I worry Every Day. She never smoked and always took very good care of herself.
Cancer is epidemic now as I see it. Last month I just lost a very good friend who had developed lung cancer, and again, never smoked and always took good care of himself. We worked together on the job and he was an Excellent firefighter and family man. We lost him at age 56.
Sorry to get on a rant here Anesti, we have been friends, and I'm very sorry to hear of your loss.
May Stella Rest in Peace, and may her husband find the strength to deal with this very sad time in his life.

Sorry to hear of your loss. My wife also had breast cancer about 2 yrs ago and as with Bill's wife is doing OK now.

Sorry to hear this.  I lost my mom to this terrible disease 15 years ago.  My Thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your family Anesti.

I lost my first wife to cancer after only two years of marriage. She was diagnosed with a malignet breat cancer shortly we were engaged, resulting in a radical masectomy. She was afraid I would not love her anymore after her surgery. Nothing was farther from the truth. We were married several months later. On our honeymoon her "fake breast" fell away from her swimming suit while we were in the pool. It was floating on the water, she just reached out and stuck it back in. 10 months later she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, it had spread throught her body. She died several months later. I had to tell my mother-in-law her daughter was dead. I can understand your sorrow and I greive for your loss. I hope Stella met up with Linda in the pearly gates. And they both met  up with FDNY's 343 heroes. Again my personal co ndalances to you :'( :'( :'( :( :( :( :'( :'(

Words can't adequately express the grief I know you must feel at the loss of a family member - particularly so young.  May the Lord bless you and your family and give you the courage and strength you need at this very difficult time!

I want to thank everyone for their kind words, and support. And im saddened to see that their alot more stories about this ordeal on here. Was able to speak to my cousin today without crying albeit i had to fight back tears. Altough he has a long road ahead,he seemed a bit better today.  Another thing im sorry i posted this on here, its just that i wanted to share this sad time with everyone, not for sympathy,or pity, but for awareness, and to live life to the fullest because you never know when someone you love will be taken away.

anesti.........Very sorry for your loss........The Marra family sends there condolences to you and your family. May she rest in peace. Its must especially hard for the family since she was so young.

Anesti; From my personnal opinion you have NOTHING to apologize for. One thing I have learned from this site we are all BROTHERS. You may be assigned to the 10 House, Boston Hunington Ave Express (E37/L26) or a USMC AB at Al'Asad, when you greive, we all greive. Again I know your grief and again I offer my sympathies.
