Crews are responding to a five alarm fire in a downtown Pittsburgh apartment building.

All elevators non functional, only one stairwell able to be used for egress. CO readings of over 1550 ppm. Seems like Pittsburghs gonna have a long night.

Looks to be the old Roosevelt Hotel. Back in the day, that was where college football teams and their boosters (Notre Dame, Syracuse, Army, etc.) stayed when they were in town to play Pitt. Back in the day, PBF had five engines (Engines 32 & 33 over on 8th St.) and one truck downtown. Now, there's none.
