I listen to Staten Island "on-line" as I'm in Pa. The reception is terrible, transmissions breaking up, only hearing a few words here and there, etc. I cannot speak for those listening on scanners, etc. but is there I can do on my end to improve the quality or is it like this all over?

I agree.  The Staten Island Broadcastify feed is not too reliable.  The Bronx feed also causes me grief (albeit less than SI).
The other Boroughs are quality 99.9% of the time.

Thank You to whomever maintains the internet feeds!

SI UHF channel is horrible ...and I live out here!! I don't even keep the PL/CTCSS on because I have found that I miss transmissions when compared to the old VHF shared with The Bronx ... but I also see that is the case with the other UHF channels as well

The VHF frequencies had better range and sounded better too. The upper audio frequency ranges (1-4KHz on a graphic EQ) had a boost, or maybe the lower ones were cut, making the voice sound pretty clear.

They keep lowering the output power on the VHF frequencies though, so we are going to be forced out of them soon.
