Somerville has a third alarm on Box 245, fire location 47 Marion Street. Second alarm on arrival. Somerville FD feed is off-line on Broadcastify. According to Box 52 FB fire was in a 6 unit 2 story wood frame rowhouse.

Today is the anniversary of the deadly fire in Chicago at Our Lady of the Angels school fire where 92 students and 3 nuns lost their lives. After this fire there were numerous safety improvements made nationwide.

November 28 1942 492 people lost their lives at the Coconut Grove nightclub fire. Box 1521 @ Church & Winchester was pulled for a car fire when members were notified of the nightclub fire. My mother worked at Boston City Hospital that night, they received many of the injured.

yes it is their Division response but with the second second alarm I guess FAO sent TL 3 to the other. I do not have the incident times.

I would assume TL-10 went on the first fire and FAO probably sent TL-3 on the other as ops usually consist of a TL on a confirmed fire. I do not have the cards for these boxes.

Thursday Boston had 2 simultaneous second alarm fires in the Hyde Park and then Rosindale sections of the city. Box 2-3826 for a structure fire @ 7 Roxana Street followed by 2-2792 for a fire @ 4294 Washington Street.

Mayor Laesch and Chief McCabe have supported cuts in the department of 18 firefighters, 3 Battalion Chiefs, 1 Training officer, and 2 companies. Both have stated this will not compromise safety. Local 99 firmly opposes this.

It appears that the pilot/plane had reached V1 which is the take-off/abort point, different for all planes. Below it you can safely abort your take-off, above it you are committed to take off, you do not have enough room to stop.
