    I know it has been brought up and discussed several times before but when, and if, will the FDNY feeds on OpenMHZ be back up and running. All 5 boros and a possible city-wide. By the way I understand Boston PD is going encrypted soon, if not already, hope FD stays on clear air.

    Lawrence MA Fifth alarm

    Firefighters in Lawrence MA are battling a fifth alarm fire in several residences and a restaurant. Responding crews to 324 Lowell Street found fire in a 2 1/2 story building and the fire quickly escalated to a third alarm.

    Chicago Firefighters Union Local 2 has reached a tentative contract with the city after a 4 year standoff. The executive board has recommended ratification.     On August 2, 1858 the Chicago City Council authorized the formation of a paid department. First company organized was Engine 1 @ the City Armory at Adams and Franklin. They moved to a new house at 121 N LaSalle on December 25th. House was destroyed during the great Chicago Fire of 1871.

    I remember this, there is a lot more to the story than just the clip from CBS. Joe Green, a WBZ news helicopter pilot had landed on a nearby building and also tried to help. Yes it was a bad day.
