This is an old newspaper article about a Loft Fire at Broadway & Grand St Manhattan in what was then termed "Hells Hundred Acres".....it occurred on Friday evening 11-18-60 & went to 9 Alarms ....three FDNY Members died when they became trapped in the basement early in the Fire...LT John J. Mc Dermott ENG*31...FF Francis J. Sammon ENG*31 ...&.. FF John C. Cosner SQ*8 (both Units later disbanded).....Continued Rest In Peace to all three. ....... scroll down to larger photo
