On Friday, April 14th at approximately 8:35p, the Uniondale Fire Department eas dispatched to a reported house fire on Rochelle Ct. 2nd Assistant Chief Martinez [7502] was quickly on scene with active fire on the side of the house and a Signal 10 was transmitted. Engine 752 was first due and stretched the initial line to begin extinguishing the fire. In total 2 lines were stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the main body of fire. With the assistance of a FAST from North Bellmore, and an ambulance from North Merrick, the fire was placed under control in approximately 20 minutes. All operations were under the direction of Chief of Department Lacy [7500]. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Text courtesy K2M Photography.
