Came across the 2022 runs for the Gary FD on the chicagoareafire.com site. Remember, at one time Gary was the center of steel production in this country along with the SouthEast side of Chicago. Gary has 5 engines, a squad and 2 trucks in service at this time responding to 5400 fire calls. Truck 1 had 1450 runs and the busiest engine was Engine 7 with 1466. Squad 4 did 1524 runs. Engine 4 picture is from 1982, like the blue over red.

Gary is quite the place to visit. I've been a number of times in my line of business and I can say with absolute certainty that its the only place that tops Camden, NJ for that certain charm that comes when most buildings have more than adequate natural ventilation so to speak.
