A fire broke out at the Quarter Path Crossing shopping center, prompting multiple calls reporting a shed on fire behind the premises. Witnesses reported heavy black smoke in the vicinity, leading to the activation of units from the city of Williamsburg, York County, and James City County. Upon arrival, York Squad 3 ascertained that the fire was emanating from a small storage unit, rather than a larger structure. The responding crews acted swiftly, and the fire was successfully extinguished within approximately 30 minutes. Following a thorough overhaul, the units cleared the scene and returned to service. The total duration of the operation was 1 hour and 36 minutes. Text & photos courtesy Brian Williams, Hampton Roads Fire Rescue Incidents.
