At 11:12 PM on July 4th, Norfolk Fire-Rescue received a call for smoke and flames coming from 7610 Merritt Street. Upon arrival, E14 confirmed the call notes and went to work on an aggressive transitional attack from the front of the structure. The fire was quickly knocked down with no extension to the attic. Unfortunately, 3 adult residents were displaced as a result. Responding companies were BC01, BC03, E09, E13, E14, E16, FM03, FM100, FM200, FM300, L14, M14, RS01.
