Some 708 Box history.....Prior to the demolition of the area to build the Bushwick / Hylan Houses on a 16 acre site Box 708 was Bushwick Ave & Moore St.....Box 701 was Morrell & Moore Sts.....after clearing the area Morrell St ( which ran several blocks from Flushing Ave to Siegel St.) was completely eliminated but the actual 701 remained in position but the location became Moore St 75' West of Bushwick Ave.....708 remained in position but the re constructed Moore St actually took a curve so 708's location became Bushwick Ave opposite Varet St.....another Box in the Project footprint 3758 Cook & Morrell Sts was discontinued ......on the South side of the complex Box 709 Flushing Ave & Morrell St. remained in position but the location became Flushing Ave opposite Garden St. .........Photo of some of the old Moore St Markets before Demo.
