    Have you actually looked at a map.  R2?s new quarters is at most a mile away from their present firehouse. It?s basically @ Eastern Parkway & Saratoga Avenue and should basically have zero impact on their response area.

    Way back when, for many years, E52 operated with two "pieces" (1951 Ward LaFrances).  The second piece was NOT considered a "second section." It was primarily used as a hose wagon for runs in Van Cortland Park when a long stretch and or a relay operation was required.

    I'm fairly certain at the time the firehouse for E72 was built, consideration was given to establish a truck (L57) as well.  That never came into fruition.
