I am watching a live press conference on the FOX channel via You tube. There are other live streaming channels available as well. I am also able to monitor LA County V-1 via Broadcastify.
Is there a Broadcastify site you would recommend to try to monitor this situation? Looking @ CNN this morning now I have an idea of what the WWII fire raids must have been like, those were in areas with flimsy buildings, not the concrete and metal of today. Prayers for all, civilians and...
A 2-11 alarm and EMS Plan 2for a fire @ 7465 S South Shore Drive for a fire in a 150x75 story apartment building with fire through the roof. Numerous rescues made, info from Tri-States Fire Alert post on FB.
I will be glad when Mack is back up ad running as well. I really miss his company histories and the outstanding photos that went with them. Hurry back Mack, and a Happy New Year to all on this site!
And this Friday please wear RED to Remember Everyone Deployed. Not everyone could make it home for the holidays, some are serving in far-off distant lands.
A Chicago ambulance crew was robbed while responding to a call. Ambulance 24 responded to a call at 1:45AM of a person with respiratory distress on the 7900 block of South Throop. When they arrived they were approached by a man who said he had a gun and robbed them. They managed to overpower the...
Chicago has a 3-11 in a 300 x 100 commercial truck repair garage. Defensive ops with numerous explosions and a collapse zone set up. Address is 4100 S Oakley. S/C hose wagon 6-1-1.
The OpenMHZ site is working. The only problem I see is if the Bronx has a 30 second transmission you will be playing catch up for the remaining, if any, transmissions. I believe you can lock onto one boro instead of monitoring all 5.
CFD has a Still & Box for a fire in a high rise (FDNY 10-77) with an EMS Plan 1. Fire address is 401 N Wabash, the 91 story Trump Building. S&B has been struck out as well as the EMS Plan. Fire was confined to one car on the sixth floor of the parking garage.
Some of this makes no sense. 5 Rescues, 12 rescue squads, 5 snorkels. CFD has no Rescues, the squads. 4 of them, are two piece units with a 55' snorkel. They have no stand alone snorkel. Maybe I am just reading this all wrong.
