    12/12/24 Brooklyn 3rd Alarm 10-66 Box 2982

Would this normally be a 254/153 first due box when they're in their own quarters?

    12/1/24 Queens 2nd Alarm Box 8657

Was this the last house on the dead end south west of the tracks? Looks like a tough spot to get rigs into.

12/5/24 Brooklyn All Hands Box 3238

Not so much Ridgewood as it is E286 first due. It appears 286 is in the 13th response area and 319 is in the 14th.

Tarrytown (Westchester), NY- Working Fire 12-05-24

I'm not that familiar with Westchester County, but isn't Port Chester quite a ride from Tarrytown?

11/18/24 Brooklyn All Hands Box 0799

I know there was talk of moving 112 to 222 many years ago. Was there ever any talk of placing a truck at 217, 218, 230, or 237? I know they're all single bay houses but so was 277.

It seems 140 would have a pretty easy run to that area, but growing up in the neighborhood I know the run down posted is correct.

I don't think 161 gets to Cropsey and Neptune faster than 166.

    FDNY Patches & Rig Decals

Hey Cap, it seems so odd that Broome St was opened in 1939 and then a mere 34 years later Pitt St firehouse was opened. Broome St sat vacant and was used for movies and TV shows well into the late 90's. In FDNY there are firehouses still open that have been open over 125 years. Any idea why the...

    New Boston firehouse

I don't know a lot about Boston FD, but I'm pretty sure 17/7 are on the busier side of things up there. A quick Google search and street view, looks like the firehouse is in a nice neighborhood. Do they just have a large response area or is the Google street view deceiving?

I always thought 286/135 had 3rd or 4th due boxes in Highland Park. As a kid in the 80's I remember them consistently running up 66th street to Cooper and then over the Cypress Hills St hill and into Brooklyn.

    8/15/24 Brooklyn 10-75 Box 3492

Pretty easy run right up Cropsey. 318/166 seem to rarely leave CI

7/27/24 Beth Israel Hospital (E.16th St.) to Close ?

With St. Vinny's and Cabrini both gone I can't believe they would even consider closing Beth Israel. I understand it comes down to money, but at some point the closure of hospitals has to come down to a public health emergency.

I remember this fire. I was around 14 years old and my dad took me for a ride to check it out. I remember the super pumper being there but not in operation.
