292 would definitely get in ahead of 287 coming from their new location, however I'm told box assignments have not changed.

I'm not sure if the trailers are in any condition to be re-tractored at the end of their service, but this could end up saving money in the long run.

Does L40 have a lot of tight streets they would need a tiller for?

Will the reduction in staffing per apparatus effect their participation in the mutual aid system? Most metro mutual aid systems have a minimum staffing per apparatus to allow departments to be in the plan.

Surprised 319 isn't in the mix. Pretty easy run for them.

If the first 3 trucks left quarters at the same time, I'll bet they all arrive within seconds of each other.

While it's only 2.5 blocks from E9/L6 that's a tough run for them. If they don't go against traffic on that short block of Canal where the Manhattan bridge dumps off, they have to go around the park. Navigating that area during the day can be quite a challenge.
