Short version. Some kids were trying to explore, 1 ended up falling down 1 of the spans and his "friends" left. Apparently 6 guys later they called Lynbrook pd where they lived and they sent a car to make coms easier.

Honestly dont know. I know in the past when my Dept purchased engines from the city, they were just about ready to go. The airpack brackets were there, shelves, seats, light bars etc. We only had to put radios in, re letter, swap light bars and load it. Things may have changed in between.

They may not have a deep spare fleet but what about the units that were replaced and awaiting disposal?
