That’s not in effect anymore ….they would send the next rescue on the “all hands doubtful” but now send them on the report of a 10-75 regardless.

To close to Bn 35 & 37 and even the 28. On the west and south side it would open up a huge area between Bn 31 & 38.

R-3 didn’t become a dive rescue till about 2008.…give or take a year. They were the last Rescue company to be train ….R-4 was always assigned to dive jobs in the Bronx prior to then….on the Initial call, not as the back up dive team on the conformation of “diver in the water”.
