Can’t help with the rig shot. I pulled that photo from this website. https://1940s.nyc/map#13.69/40.7093/-73.99397. I put in the addresses of some old firehouses to see what they looked like back in the 40’s. When this picture was taken, the doors just happen to be open.
Not sure if this fits the bill since it was a Fire Patrol FH but Anderson Cooper‘s residence has Landmark Status. The Wooster Street address has a retail space for lease sign in the window.
