    The bread vans.....before the days of Paramedics. A driver and a Corpsman. Notice the front bumper. It was a rubber bladder filled with water. If they hit something the plugs on the top would pop out.....supposedly dampened low impact hits. Some of the Taxi Cabs had those bumpers back...

    Dramatic Grab Early 70's Bronx

    This photo was taken by then dispatcher Ken Fisher (BxCO) in the 70's. Fireman Carmine Croce of Rescue 3 performing mouth to mouth on a teenager in either TL31 or TL44's bucket as it is being lowered to the street during a grab. Ken received an award from the UFA for this.

    Photos I shot with a little 110 instamatic camera in December 1976. All Hands at 128 W Fordham Rd in a Laundromat. Ladders 33 and 46 opening up the roof. This was two doors down from the old Mannion's Bar. The laundromat is still there 50 years later. Mannion's long gone.
