Initial news reports state that all 12 firefighters were hospitalized, 7 in serious but stable condition, the rest with minor injuries.  One company was coming down 7th and the other was heading across 10th and they collided at the intersection.  I believe both companies were second due on a box that E55 and L5 were operating at and had just given a 10-18 for.

Thankfully the numbers have now been flipped.  5 in serious but stable condition, 7 minor injuries.  Injuries are all described as non-life threatening.

not good, are both rigs totaled?

From the images the driver's compartment of the squad and the officer's side of the truck seem to have taken the majority of the damage.  At the very least they'll both be needing some serious cab overhaul.  News reports say the traffic light the squad ended up hitting actually stopped it from plowing into a building.  The chief told reporters that the companies were en route to another box near E55/L5's.

Seeing the report of Lad 103 being involved in a MVC with a city bus, I was wondering how the members involved in this MVC were doing. I hope they are back on the job or will be soon.

talking to my cousin from SQ-18, the lieutenant had the worst of the injuries. She, yes i did say she, sustained facial injuries but is doing well. all members should be back on the job by now which is excellent considering the damage sustained to both apparatus!

Is their any talk on replacing Squad 18 cause so the Massive Damage to the truck, I know they are using the spare Squad, I've seen it on runs before. I know Ladder 12 had to give their truck to the Training Divison and they got another Truck according to a firefighter on 12 Truck.
