Perhaps they got in first! It is a pretty quick run down the Service Road from their quarters: Quote] This is a perfect example of why line of sight or "as the crow flies" isn't always the best way to determine order of assignment. TL152 has only 5 major intersections to cross along the w/b L.I.E. service road to arrive directly in front of the fire bldg. Meanwhile, E273/L129 have to zig-zag through downtown Flushing to get to Main St. then have to turn left on 60th Ave. to 146th st. and make 2 right turns to get in front of the fire bldg. E324 has to turn right out of quarters, westbound to 108th St., make two left turns to the eastbound south service road, cross over the usually congested GCP & Van Wyck interchanges then make a left onto Main St. and make a right around 60th Ave. to 146th, make 2 rights to reach this address. Finally, E274 has the most complicated ride.

G-man

I couldn't have said it better.  And is is a complicated ride for E274- I went to that location on my bike from the quarters of E274 when I really young - it is a long ride and not a very direct one.  It's along ride back too!

I thought Captain Fritz ( a great man RIP)  threw the bikes up on the rig going back :) :)
