Confirmed four vehicle MVA eastbound in the Queens Midtown Tunnel

Queens expecting L 128 to give a preliminary report.   Accident closer to Queens side.

TBTA not allowing FDNY Queens units to enter tunnel.

TBTA not allowing Manhattan units into tunnel.

Dispatcher suggests L 128 go into tunnel on foot.  B 45 going to Queens side, and B 8 to Manhattan side.

B 8 requesting ambulance to Manhattan side of tunnel.  Dispatcher requesting EMS at 00:05

E 1, 21,  65 and L 7 and L24 from Manhattan.   E 21 operating in the tunnel and they believe L 7.   There is difficulty communicating with the units that are now in the tunnel.

I just can NOT believe that the TBTA would NOT Allow the FDNY Units into the Tunnel. Who takes care of the injuried ? Who checks for Hazards etc, etc ?
I do have a question also. When units do enter these tunnels, do they set up relay operations using members with handie talkies throughout the tunnel to relay messages ?
