2 dead, 43 hurt when school bus collides with dump truck in New Jersey

My cousin was the incident commander for this incident. One of my close friends who works for Mt.Olive Twp FM Office said in his 20yrs it?s the worst accident he?s seen on Rt.80 in this area. Hug your kids a little tighter tonight.

I'm wondering if any charges will be bought against the school bus driver, and if so - what?
 
If there are I would guess "Reckless Endangerment" would be in there. Of course, that's a NY wording and maybe titled something else in NJ.
 
I haven?t heard much more just speculation on the condition of the bus driver. Due to the fact there were fatalities as a result of the accident I believe he/she could be charged in NJ with involuntary manslughter. That?ll be up to the SP and prosecutors office. I was probably 5-10 minutes ahead of that bus that day headed west to Columbia for work and 80 was an absolute mess because of the rain. Why a bus driver would do what they did is beyond me. The next exit is about 6 miles away from Exit 25, they would have been a little late but safe!

Seems to me he was looking for a shortcut, regardless of how illegal it was.  But, why was he using a turn-around, did he realize he was going in the wrong direction?
 
I don?t know how he missed exit 25 it?s clearly marked and a two lane exit so you can either head to 206 north or stay right for Waterloo Village and the International Trade Zone north. Just west of the westbound exit in an emergency vehicle turnaround with eastbound exit 25 directly across the highway. Conditions on 80 that morning were pretty poor. Vehicular Homicide.
