@1738: 10-75-739 by Ladder 124 for fire out the windows on the top floor at 876 Hart Street, near Knickerbocker Avenue, Bushwick Section of Brooklyn.

Engines 271, 237, 218    Ladders 124, 112   Batt. 28   NOTE: some of these units were initially assigned to a different address on Hart Street.

@1739: Batt. 28 requests extra engine and truck: Engine 217 and Ladder 108 s/c.

@1740: Report of people trapped.  Squad 252 and Rescue 2 notified.

@1743: 75-739: Batt. 28 reports using all hands; fire on 2 floors of a 3 story building, out the top floor windows, one 10-45 no code, have water on the fire.  RAC 2 assigned.

@1746: 22-739: Batt. 28 transmits second alarm.  Batt. 35(Safety), Batt. 57 (RUL), Rescue Batt., Safety Batt., Field Comm.

@1750: Command Tactical Unit Responding.

@1750: Batt. 28: fire in a 3 story brick 25 x 50 OMD, 3 lines stretched with two in operation, primary search being conducted, trucks opening up, fire is doubtful.  Exposures: 1- street, 2- one story brick, 3- unknown, 4- similar attached.

@1755: Div. 11 notified that the staging area will be Irving Avenue and Stockholm Street, if necessary.

@1756: Ladder 105 acting Ladder 124 is 10-8.

@1757: Batt. 28: main body of fire in the fire apartment extinguished, primary search complete and negative with the exception of the 10-45.

@1800: Div. 11 is 10-84.

@1802: Field Comm: Div. 11 reports there was a mayday, the member has been accounted for, role call is being performed, 10-45 has been classified a code 4, main body of fire has been extinguished, fire is still doubtful.  Fire duration is 26 minutes.

@1807: Field Comm: Deputy Chief Strong reports one line to second floor, one line to third floor, one line to exposure #4, all visible fire extinguished, fire is probably will hold.

@1811: Field Comm: DC Strong reports primary search negative throughout, secondary search delayed due to Collyers Mansion conditions, Apt. 3 Robert checks out, fire is under control.  Fire duration is 37 minutes.
