Excerpt:
A second firefighter has been killed in Canada as the country battles its worst season of wildfires on record.

The person, who has not yet been named, died from injuries sustained while fighting a fire near Fort Liard in the Northwest Territories on Saturday.
It comes just days after 19-year-old Devyn Gale was killed while working in neighboring British Columbia.

Nearly 900 wildfires are currently burning across Canada, about 580 of which remain out of control.

Those of us dealing with smoke in the atmosphere here in the Northeast need to let that smoke be a reminder to all of us of the brave wilderness firefighter who a trying to control these massive fires in Western Canada. Our Prays and Thoughts are with those men and women who are on the frontlines, in the mountains and in the skies above these massive fires. Stay Safe Brothers and Sisters, May God hold you all in His Loving Hands, and give rest to the souls of those who have given their lives in theirs, a noble calling.
