North Stonington FD was dispatched to 256 Cossaduck Hill Road, near Northwest Corner Road for a reported structure fire with smoke from the attic.

H 11, H 12, H 13, H 17 responding.

First unit on scene reported a working fire in the basement of a 2 1/2 story wood frame residence.

Second report: heavy fire on two sides of the basement; requested and engine and tanker from Preston FD and a tanker from Griswold FD.  FAST Team requested from Old Mystic FD- was not available; replaced by FAST Team from Groton Sub Base.

Full first alarm assignment transmitted with request for a tanker tank force:  North Stonington Ambulance, Paramedic from Norwich, Tankers from Wequetequock, Ashaway (RI), Preston, Center Groton.

Reported fire had breached the rear wall and was nearing a 275 gallon oil tank.

@1455: IC reporting active fire in the area of the fuel tank.

@1459: Water supply being set up on Billings Lake Road.

@1500: Q 77 ( Fire Marshal) on scene.

@1510: IC reports main body of fire knocked down, beginning overhaul.

Red Cross requested to relocate at least four residents.
