Several years ago, The Woodlands FD (north of Houston) needed an estimated 30,000 gallons of water and several hours to extinguish a double fatal Tesla fire after it hit a tree down the block from the owner's house. The other lesson was that the acceleration characteristics of electric motors are not safely compatible (not that anything is) with drunken driving.
