Report of fire from the garage (called in by a passer by)
Address of 58 Cedarbrae Blvd

Initial Alarm:
R231, A231, P223, P232, S232, C23

I was driving Aerial 231. As we pulled out of the station smoke was visible, about a block down the road the the column of smoke dramatically increased. Chief 23 transmitted the working fire for a large column of smoke.

Working Fire:
R214(RIT), R243, A222, LA231, C20

Fire building was a large 1 story bungalow with an attached garage. Exposure 1 was a front yard. Exposure 2 was a large 2 story house. Exposure 3 was a rear yard with swimming pool. Exposure 4 was a large 2 story house.

Aerial 231 (Quint) was first in with only a 3 man crew, with P223 and R231 close behind. Heavy fire was showing from the garage with extension to the roof area and exposure issues on the #2 side. Chief 23 transmitted the deuce for fire in the roof. The first line stretched was a 1 1/2" preconnect to the the garage with the 2nd line another 1 1/2" to protect the #2 exposure.

Balance of the 2nd Alarm:
P222, P244, P215, HZ145, C22, CMD10

Heavy Fire was now showing from the garage, roof, main house, and the basement. Chief 20 transmits the 3rd Alarm for fire throughout and orders members out and an exterior operation.

3rd Alarm:
P212, P211, P242, A244, C21, C10, C7, Support 7

In total I had 6 L/S/O off of Aerial 231, 4 - 1 1/2" and 2- 2 1/2" fed by 2 - 4" supply lines. A real good job, lots of fire for all. Quite crazy in the first few minutes as the boyz were pulling and stretching lines in rapid succession. Initial knock down took about 60 mins while overhaul and hot spots took the next 2.5 hrs. Fire watch for the following 24hrs due to cellulose insulation in the attic.

B -Platoon also had an addition 3rd alarm hi-rise job, and a 2nd alarm house fire in our 24hr tour. I can get rundowns for these two jobs, but will have to wait as I'm back on shift on Wednesday.
