Eng 151 reporting a verbal for walk up of a CHILD IN CARDIAC ARREST( 3 Months Old ), CPR IN PROGRESS, drowned in pool.
Time: 1228 hrs
****When dispatched on a run, you are given a certain amount of time to mentally prepare and have a small game plan in action. When just thrown a limp, unresponsive child, and have to jump in action..... NOT EASY. Child was txp under heavy Police Escort and Engine 151 to SIUH.
****** Can't CLOSE any fire house's for this exact reason. The public didn't call 911 or pull a box. They went to were they knew HELP can be found(as long in Quarters)
