At approximately 14:05 this afternoon we were dispatched to 189 North Main Street for a reported structure fire. Car 2393 (Chief Scullion) arrived on scene first due along with Engine 60 and Ladder 31 to smoke showing from the front door of a 2 story warehouse. First due units quickly located the fire on the first floor and began to suppress the fire with a can while members stretched an attack line. The main body of fire was quickly knocked down and searches proved negative. The cause of the fire was determined to be a lithium ion battery which was removed from the building and overpacked by the Westchester County Hazmat team.
