109 got in first due
A number of years ago the 40 Bn Cmndr changed the response pattern for units. Putin then we, 114 & the other units would go into the block from opposite directions. In the above ost for box 2660, we’d come down 58th street from 4th ave & 109 would come up from 3rd. Ave in the direction of traffic. It was posted that 109 beat 114 in & if 114 had to go around the block that’s probably why, assuming each left from quarters. It also would mean, since it’s an uphill block that 114 is now behind 109 if in front of fire bldg & not in position if fire were to extend up the block.That particular block does not have row frames, if memory serves me correctly.

Our old pattern worked for years, but it’s a command decision.
