Rescue 4 is delayed due to traffic

Battalion 9: 747 we have a confirmed person down, fell several stories down the shaft, he is located at the base of the shaft, seven floors below the lobby level.  We have FD units assessing the victim at this time, they're checking on the victim, we're using 1 engine, 2 trucks, and the Rescue, have all other units continue in.

BC9: We're going to hold 3 engines, 2 trucks, and rescue 1.  All other units can go 10-8.  We've reached the civilian at the base of the shaft.  EMS is working on him now, we don't need any more special units.

BC9: He's down the shaft right now, we're working on removing him.

BC9: The person's been removed and is in the care of EMS now.  We're going to hold units on scene a little longer, Battalion 9's going to await Dept. of Buildings.
 
Unfortunately the victim went into cardiac arrest and passed away at Bellvue Hospital - apparently he fell from the fifth floor according to ABC news.
