Albany Fire Department Chief Joseph Gregory said,

“On behalf of our fellow brother and sister firefighters, we are devastated to learn of the passing of one of our own, Firefighter Ed Verhoff.

Ed was the consummate professional, serving his community for 16 years as one of Albany’s Bravest, most recently assigned to the Rescue Squad – C Platoon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Verhoff family.”

Ed was VP of Albany Professional Firefighters Assn Local 2007. RIP.
