B.A.R.S. System

Is the B.A.R.S. system still in service in all boro's or just a select few?
Also, how many telegraph boxes are still in service, and in which boro or boro's?

Queens definitly still has them....i do not know the actual # of how many still exist & i also do not know the#  of how many existing ones remain Out Of Service since the 2 Tornadoes a year ago this past Sept. 16.....2 of the definite OOS ones are the 2 closest to my house.

There are now 4417 BARS boxes (plus 358 Class 3 BARS boxes) in service, none in Manhattan or Bronx.  Total number of boxes, BARS and ERS, citywide is 15077.
