A rather busy night for CFD members at O'Hare on Christmas Eve. First an American Airlines aircraft slid off an icy taxiway while preparing for take-off. After this situation was secured personnel were dispatched for a stand-by for a plane declaring an emergency after incurring a engine fire shortly after take-off. There were no injuries in either case. Apparatus stationed at O'Hare include Engines 9 and 10, Tower Ladder 63, Squad 7. and Command van 2-7-8. In addition there are 6 ARFF units assigned, 6-5-3,4,5,6,7,and 8. Merry Christmas to all and stay safe
