The following is a list of the 20 Busiest Cities in Connecticut for Working Fires. The list includes the number of Working Fires, actually All Hands or Greater Fires throughout the year 2012. This list was taken from www.ctfire-ems.com and compiled by "BHansensfd", a Stratford, Ct Firefighter.

In order to be considered a Worker, there had to be at least one 1 3/4 line stretched, and operating, within a building fire.

  There were several ties.
Manchester, Norwich, and Southington at 15.
East Hartford, Greenwich, Milford, Shelton, and West Haven at 13.

  1) Bridgeport - 77
  2) New Haven - 74
  3) Hartford - 59
  4) Waterbury - 47
  5) Danbury - 31
  6) Meriden - 29
  7) Stamford - 22
  8) New Britian - 21 .........apparently typing in the number "8" plus the ")" gets you  8)
  9) Stratford - 19
  10) Norwalk - 17
  11) New London - 16
  12) Manchester - 15
  13) Norwich - 15
  14) Southington - 15
  15) East Hartford - 13
  16) Greenwich - 13
  17) Milford - 13
  18) Shelton - 13
  19) West Haven - 13
  20) East Haven - 12

What about all the workers that Fairfield responded to in Bridgeport??

Also, I am amazed not to see Stonington Borough on the list.  They had four workers in 2012.

John, there is a complete list of number of Workers on www.ctfire-ems.com . It only list which cities had the fires, not necessarily who responded mutual aid. You're right about Fairfield going into Bridgeport on mutual aid. With Bridgeports 9 Engines, and 4 Trucks, its not quite enough. Christmas Eve, I think Fairfield FD went to three seperate working fires in the city.

On that list it has Stonington as three. Somebody has to list it on the site to be counted. It was only the top 20 that I listed.
