Dublin Fire Brigades (Delta 61) Engine from Kilbarrack Station was attacked this afternoon on the N32 by a youth throwing a rock. The appliance was speeding to a caravan on fire when the rock was thrown at the appliance. The Station Officer suffered an eye injury and is currently recovering in hospital.
The road was full of cars in both directions at the time of the incident and its very lucky the driver did not loose control of the appliance and crash.
